📝 Exam Preparation

Practical steps to prepare effectively for tests and examinations.

1. Know What You Need to Study

Check your syllabus, course outline and lecturer's guidance. List the topics that may be assessed.

2. Start Early

Avoid waiting until the last few days. Begin revision early and spread your study sessions across several days or weeks.

3. Make a Revision Plan

Divide your available time between subjects and topics. Give more time to areas you find difficult.

4. Use Active Recall

Close your notes and try to explain or write what you remember. This helps you identify gaps in your knowledge.

5. Practise Questions

Work through exercises, quizzes and suitable past questions. Check your answers and learn from your mistakes.

6. Review Difficult Topics

Do not ignore topics that you find difficult. Break them into smaller parts and seek help when necessary.

7. Practise Under Exam Conditions

Occasionally answer a complete practice paper within the expected time and without using your notes.

8. Prepare Your Materials

Before the examination, prepare the required stationery, calculator and other permitted materials.

9. Rest Before the Exam

Avoid staying awake all night if possible. Give yourself enough time to sleep, eat and arrive prepared.

Exam-Day Routine

Arrive early → Read instructions → Plan your time → Answer carefully → Review your work.
